A list of the first batch of mountain leisure vacation development pilot zones was released by Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism recently, according to local media reports June 30.
Quzhou's Lingjiu Mountain National Forest Sports Town in Kecheng district and the Liuchunhu Scenic Area in Longyou county are on the list.
Liuchunhu Scenic Area
Liuchunhu Scenic Area boasts stunning scenes – seas of bamboo, clouds, flowers and snow – and is one of the major projects on "Virtuous Quzhou's" charming scenic belt.
With planning area of 70 square kilometers and planned investment of about three billion yuan ($424 million), the scenic area aims to create a national tourist resort.
Lingjiu Mountain National Forest Sports Town
Lingjiu Mountain is a beautiful ecological landscape in Quzhou. It's an eye-catching spot with luxuriant and green trees, sweet and clear mountain springs and fragrant grass and flowers, leading to it being dubbed a natural oxygen bar.
Hiking and off-road sports are popular among visitors to the sports town. A 99-km-long hiking route connecting 18 forests in the scenic area will be under construction in the near future.
More sports projects at Lingjiu Mountain National Forest Sports Town will provide more options for hiking fans.
