Eight rural scenic spots in Quzhou, Zhejiang province, including two at provincial level, were added onto two rural tourism lists released recently, according to local media June 16.

Among them, four villages were listed in the second batch of Zhejiang's Key National Rural Tourism Recommended Villages, and another four were listed in the first batch of Zhejiang's "Rural Cultural Tourism" Integrated Development and Cultivation of Ethnic Villages.

Now, let's take a look at some scenic spots on the two lists.

Xunli village in Jiangshan city (a county-level city in Quzhou)

Xunli village is famous for its well-conserved ancient buildings. Buildings there boast a great combination of Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangxi, Fujian and western styles, with ancient architecture accounting for more than 50 percent of the village's buildings.

Dongping village in Qujiang district

Dongping village in Xiachuan town, which is 38 kilometers from downtown Quzhou and 518 meters above sea level, turns red every autumn. Persimmon trees, like rosy clouds, can be seen everywhere, and the ancient houses with white walls and black tiles complement each other, drawing a picture of a peaceful life in this spotlessly clean place.

Pushan village in Longyou county

Colorful houses are dotted throughout the village, which contains rich cultural connotations of the She ethnic group, as if it were in a fairy tale kingdom.

Pushan village's harmonious neighborhood reflects a rich culture. As an ethnic minority village, 90 percent of the villagers can speak the She language. The village inherits the She culture through folk songs and dances, and displays the new look of Pushan through ethnic parks and beautiful cultural walls.
