Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, which has been dubbed as the "Home of Southern Confucianism" and "A Model City of Virtue", has an abundance of high-quality water resources.
In recent years, the city has ramped up efforts to promote the construction of a "Virtuous Quzhou" picturesque landscape belt.
While retaining the original ecology of the landscape, the city is accelerating construction on a section of the Qujiang River - the main source of the Qiantang River which runs through the central districts of Hangzhou from the southwest to the northeast.
The project will center on the Qujiang River and Jiangshan port, which will divide the landscape belt into east and west sections.
This year, the Qujiang River section of the project will include the construction of a cherry-blossom lane, a group of characteristic villages, a high-end rural, cultural and tourism complex, and a group of customs and customs courier stations, which will make the Qujiang River section into the best part of the landscape belt.
A total of 13 key projects will be promoted this year, including the landscape belt along the river and the construction of villages such as Yingchuan village.
It is expected that a total investment of 13.3 billion yuan ($1.88 billion) will be spent on the project, among which a total of 945 million yuan will be spent this year.
Additionally, many places in Quzhou with distinctive scenery such as Jianfeng village and Duze town, which will be located along the landscape belt, have promoted the tourism and cultural development base on the green policy released by the city.
