Quzhou seeks ways to promote overall industrial innovation
Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, recently launched a great many approaches to promote overall industrial innovation related to development and reform, economics and information technology, big data and education.
"We have worked overtime to listen to opinions from all sides and constantly improve the plan for the city's industrial development and innovation," said an official from the municipal science and technology bureau.
The pilot experimental training base and research institute jointly established by Quzhou municipal government and Zhejiang University in 2018 will be put into operation by the end of 2020, and the main campus is expected to be completed by the end of 2021.
Additionally, Quzhou will join the second batch of "Hundred Million Mu (1 mu = 3.3 hectares) Thousand Billion Yuan" platforms in Zhejiang, and also benefit from the high-end chemical industry, which takes a leading role in the country. In particular, fluorosilicate cobalt, electronics, digital information, new energy chemicals and 48 national high-tech enterprises have formed industrial clusters, with an output value of 39 billion yuan ($5.5 billion) in 2019.
To develop a vigorous smart digital economy industry, "beauty" economy and "happiness" industry, Quzhou will develop its city brand by constructing a scenic belt, and nurture a new group of industries in the near future.
