The plants in Quzhou are verdant in May. With the construction of a Big Garden development in Zhejiang, the city's environment is more beautiful, industry is more prosperous, governance is more modern, and local residents are happier.

Quzhou is the center of the Big Garden project, a demonstration city for the "Two Mountains" theory and a model green scenic city in Zhejiang province that hopes to become the greatest city in east Zhejiang.

With the first batch of alpine rhododendrons blossoming in early summer, Jack Ma Yun, founder of e-commerce heavyweight Alibaba, climbed to the top of Liuchunhu Mountain, more than 1,000 meters above sea level, May 7. He looked down over Quzhou and was very impressed by the beautiful scenery.

As the co-chairman of an ecological conservation foundation, Ma came to Quzhou to attend the signing ceremony of the cooperation project. Quzhou has cooperated with the foundation to build three nature conservation sites.

The mountain-sports town project on Liuchun Lake is one of the projects on "Virtuous Quzhou's" poetic and charming scenic belt. Quzhou has planned to start 90 key construction projects and 12 projects for new-era beautiful countryside demonstration villages this year.
