Quzhou solicits short videos with award
Quzhou in East China's Zhejiang province launched a short video competition on Nov 12, according to a press conference held in the city.
Video entries must narrate a three-minute story in Quzhou and portray the city's beautiful countryside, ancient buildings, industrial development, harmonious daily life, or warm hearted Quzhou residents.
Works should be submitted together with an application form by emailing to both QSP12345@163.com and 3383689448@qq.com with the attachment entitled "beautiful Quzhou + entrant name" before Dec 15.
Approved videos will be hash tagged "beautiful Quzhou" and posted on short video platforms such as Douyin and Kuaishou. The number of likes the videos receive will be included in their final score.
A maximum of 19 winners will be selected who will receive rewards of up to 10,000 yuan ($1,428).
Winners are scheduled to be announced in late December.
All award-winning videos will be published and screened on the Quzhou News website (http://www.qz828.com/) and its mobile application "Handheld Quzhou".
Supervised by the Publicity Department of the CPC Quzhou Municipal Committee, the competition is organized by the Cyberspace Office of the CPC Quzhou Municipal Committee and Quzhou Daily Media Group.
Quzhou is an ancient city with a history of more than 1,800 years and a civilization history dating back about 9,000 years. In recent years, the city has been pursuing innovative development through the high-tech, e-commerce, and tourism industries.
