Portrait exhibition opens in Quzhou

A portrait exhibition marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China opened at the Quzhou Cultural Center on Oct 11, organizers said.

A total of 70 works featuring subjects from all works of life are on display. These include sketches, oil paintings, prints, traditional Chinese paintings and watercolors.

The event is being organized by the publicity and cultural departments of Quzhou, as well as the city’s federation of literary and art circles and will run to Oct 22.

All the exhibits will be moved to the art school in Quzhou College of Technology for further exhibition, according to the organizers.
