Quzhou commerce chamber boosts educational business in Xinjiang

The Dongyang Chamber of Commerce in Quzhou, eastern Zhejiang province, made donations to a village in Wushi, a county in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, on Aug 9.

Du Yuejin, chairman of the commerce chamber, donated 320,000 yuan ($45,000) in student grants, as well as 1,600 books and 200 schoolbags on behalf of the member companies.

The commerce chamber also promised to fund 10 local students until they finish their schooling and to establish libraries for the village.

The chamber also inked a purchase agreement with the village to buy agricultural products worth 100,000 yuan for three consecutive years.
