With all certificates in position on July 5, Zhejiang Huitong Shipping Co is expected to run its first voyage along the Qiantang River that threads across East China's Zhejiang province.
Huitong Shipping Co made history as the first Quzhou-based shipping company whose birth came through Quzhou port's constant efforts to stimulate the shipping market and offer quality service.
Since the middle and upper reaches of Qutang River became fully connected on Jan 2, Quzhou port has been zealous in incubating its regional shipping business, with a series of investment promotions, environmental improvement, and match-making events.
Better services for enterprises are deemed a top priority.
Huitong Shipping Co visited the municipal administration service center for a certificate to run a domestic shipping business at the end of June, expecting a response within 15 working days.
To their surprise, the service center handled their application withing a day and played an active role in communicating with the provincial transportation and administration departments.
The processing period was thus halved to seven days.
"Thanks to the considerate service from Quzhou's port and shipping administration bureau, we were able to open for business way ahead of schedule," said a spokesman for Huitong Shipping Co.
