A promotional event for Quzhou's city brands and tourism products kicked off in Southwest China's mountain city of Chongqing on July 6, announcing a ticket-free policy for international tourists and discounted package tours exclusively for Chongqing tourists.
With the pithy slogan "Modern City of Virtue and Home of Southern Confucianism," the event features some of the most popular summer destinations as well as an exhibition of Quzhou's traditional customs and can't-miss tourist hotspots.
Another special offer released during the event was the 2019 version of Quzhou's ticket-free policy for global tourists.
The upgraded policy now covers 14 popular sites, including Lanke Mountain, Yaowang Mountain, Tianji Longmen Scenic Area, Minju Garden, Jianglang Mountain, and Qianjiangyuan National Forest Park.
The listed sites will offer 236-day ticket-free access to Chongqing tourists from Monday to Friday (national holidays not included). Other special offers, such as summer sales of package tours, free round-trip plane tickets, and free accommodation at four-star rated hotels, were given away to a selection of lucky audience members.
Quzhou-born film actress Zhou Xun and badminton gold medalists Huang Yaqiong surprised the audience via video chat, welcoming them to come and discover the charm of Quzhou.
