Tianji Longmen Scenic Area
Tianji Longmen (former Longmen Canyon) Scenic Area, located 34 kilometers south of Zhejiang’s Quzhou city, is one of the main scenic spots of Ziwei Mountain Forest Park, a national forest park and a provincial scenic area. Covering 14 square km, it is a tourist resort integrating landscape and leisure vocation. Tianji Longmen Scenic Area is famous for its canyons, peaks, precipices and waterfalls. There are many high mountains and valleys in the area, 54 of which are higher than 1,000 meters.
Shuimenjian Peak, the highest peak in Sanqu region, is 1,452.8-m high. With high mountains and deep valleys, the unique geographical environment and climate have enriched flora and fauna resources. Over 1,000 species of plants grow in the area, including the Chinese yew (taxus chinensis), one of the national first-class protected tree species, and the whiteberry yew (pseudotaxus chienii), one of the national second-class protected tree species.
