Quzhou has abundant water resources, with a total of 10 billion cubic meters, and per capita of 4,039 cubic meters. It is the only city in Zhejiang province with national-level drinkable surface water. It is also the main food production base in China. 

With the high-quality water resource and the distinctive agricultural products, Quzhou focuses on the development of milk beverages, bee products, tea and so on.

Being the national-level green snack food and healthy beverage industrial base, Quzhou has over 60 food and beverage enterprises, including Wahaha, Mingwang, Juneyao, Gutianshan. 

Quzhou is accelerating the construction of the four-province boundary tourist distributing center, tourist industry reform test area, Confucian culture tourism innovative development area and national outdoor sports leisure center in the national-level demonstration area, with its sound eco-environment, abundant tourism resource and convenient transportation, aiming to build the first leisure area in China.
