A documentary about acupuncture, a traditional Chinese medicine, proved a big hit at the 2016 International Conference of World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies that was held in Tsukuba and Japan.

The conference is one of the leading world events in the field of acupuncture with more than 1,800 professionals from over 100 countries taking part in this year's conference.

The documentary was filmed in Quzhou east China's Zhejiang province, on account of its rich history in the field of acupuncture. The city is renowned for having been the home of Yang Jizhou (1522-1620) during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).

Yang is acclaimed for having written Zhengjiu Dacheng (The Great Success of Acupuncture and Moxabustion), one of the most important publications in acupuncture history. If gorgeous natural landscapes and a session of therapeutic acupuncture sound like a good way to spend a couple of days, Quzhou is certainly worth a visit.
