Mobile phone users in Quzhou city – in East China's Zhejiang province – have reportedly journeyed further into the 5G era after major telco groups like China Mobile (Quzhou) last year rolled out 5G there mobile services, with the effects still being felt.

Industry experts expect advanced mobile devices to carry more healthcare-related sensors. Remote auscultation – listening to human various organs via monitoring, for diagnosis and treatment – may soon be possible for everyone using telemedicines through just a cellphone. This is seen as potentially enabling checkups that could only be done physically in the past, such as listening to lung air volumes.

It's understood that 5G+VR, 5G+remote ultrasound, 5G+surgical instructions and 5G+remote wards are progressively coming into the daily lives of the local residents of Quzhou.

The director of the emergency department of Quzhou People's Hospital recently said that 120 ambulance service had been equipped with mobile 5G network technology. This enabled doctors to remove time and space constraints in a diagnosis, promptly ascertain a patient's condition and improve their success rate in the treatment of seriously ill patients, the director added.  

5G+ remote ultrasound boosts accuracy of medical services

The new high-definition and low-delay 5G+remote ultrasound system reportedly assists experts in hospitals to conduct cross-regional and cross-hospital guidance, helping to improve the ultrasound interpretation ability of primary hospitals and improve the level of primary medical services for locals.
