Quzhou-made celadon items were showcased in Shaoxing, East China's Zhejiang province, on Dec 4 at the invitation of the Palace Museum, according to local media reports.

All the items, including celadon tea sets, art porcelain and vases, were made by Ge Yihui, a national first-class craftsman from Kaihua, a county in Quzhou, Zhejiang.

According to Ge, it is the second time that he has been invited by the Palace Museum to display his works and he hopes these exhibitions will attract more people to Kaihua to get to learn about the long-lost celadon-making skills.

In June this year, 33 celadon items made by Ge were on display at the Yuanmingyuan Imperial Garden in Beijing.

As early as late Shang Dynasty (c.16th century-11th century BC), Quzhou made out the primitive celadon items and the teacups produced in Quzhou kilns in Tang Dynasty (618-907) led other counterparts in ancient China.

The celadon exhibition was part of the Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival 3.0 exhibition, which reproduced the hustle and bustle of street life in the ancient Song Dynasty (420-479).
