An exhibition showcasing musical instruments used for sacrificial ceremonies in Confucius Temple is underway at Quzhou Museum, Zhejiang province and will last until March 28, according to local media.

A total of 188 exhibits from Ningbo Museum are on display, including chime bells, Xun (an egg-shaped instrument), and Sheng (a reed pipe wind instrument), which were all made in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).

Liao Wei, director of exhibition department of Quzhou Museum noted that the Quzhou exhibition is the first stop outside Ningbo.

Liao added that the sacrificial ceremony instruments exhibition is one of the events to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Ningbo Museum in 2018 and the idea of introducing the exhibition to Quzhou is to evoke local residents' curiosity in learning about traditional culture.
