Downtown Forest Park to be upgraded

The Forest Park in downtown Quzhou, eastern Zhejiang province, will start upgrading in October, according to local media reports on Aug 16.

The upgraded Forest Park will cover an area of more than 2,300 mu (153.33 hectares), and is expected be completed by April 2020.

The park will include areas for ecological protection, natural ecosystems and entertainment.

The 600 mu ecological protection area will have 2,000 new high arbor trees to enrich the skyline of Quzhou and the 1,000 mu natural ecosystems area will be covered with ornamental trees while maintaining its current greenery.

A colorful, leafy forest, a cherry blossom forest, and two 15-mu gardens exclusively for big-leaf hydrangea and roses will be established in the park.

Moreover, six facilities for visitors to rest or admire the beautiful landscape will also be erected including a corridor, two pavilions and three simply-equipped pavilions.
