A facility in Quzhou, eastern Zhejiang province, is offering locals relief on the rabies front.

The Zhejiang Anygo Technology Co, founded by Quzhou native Sun Le, went into operation in Quzhou Green Industry Clustering Zone on Aug 9.

The facility will make kits that are used to verify whether the vaccination against rabies has taken effect or not and can also be used to protect other animals bitten by infected dogs. In China it is estimated that roughly 25 million people are bitten by dogs each year.

The kits made by the facility -- which detect and diagnosis protective antibodies needed for rabies -- have passed clinical evaluation by the Institute for Viral Disease Control and Prevention of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

The 900 square meter facility is expected to market more than 100 million ($14.16 million) worth of products each year.

Sun said he opened the facility in Quzhou because he was attracted by its favorable business environment and attractive natural landscape.
