An exhibition kicked off at Quzhou Municipal Museum in eastern Zhejiang province on Aug 7 to greet the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China on Aug 7.

Organizers said it will run to early September.

Roughly 200 pieces of revolutionary articles and documents went on display and some of the exhibits were shown for the first time.

According to the organizers, these recorded the course of the revolution in Quzhou -- from the city's recovery during the Revolution of 1911 to its liberation in 1949.

The exhibition was sponsored by the Quzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism and was organized by Quzhou Municipal Museum, Jiangshan Municipal Museum and the Cultural Relic Management Institute of Kaihua County.
