Quzhou to boost cooperation with BRI countries

Major things are expected of the 2019 Belt and Road International Economic and Trade Cooperation Events -- set to take place in Quzhou, eastern Zhejiang province, on June 28-29.

The annual event is jointly sponsored by the Quzhou Municipal Government, the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province and the Council for Promoting South-South Cooperation.

Various activities during the event are expected to promote the integration of Quzhou and its surrounding areas into the BRI construction and expand their levels of international commerce. The activities include a garden city forum and a forum on Quzhou's digital economy.

The host city will also release a white paper on the digital operating system of the future community together with e-commerce giant Alibaba Group and Germany, Nepal and Jingdezhen will give presentations on their preferential investment environment.

As the fruit of the first Belt and Road International Economic and Trade Cooperation Events in 2018, the Quzhou International Economic and Trade Center has housed 35 exhibition halls, including those of France, Canada, Japan and Australia, to date.
