Shao Zijin from Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, together with nine other teenagers, was honored as a Good Teenager in the New Era on May 23, local media reported.

The activity was jointly organized by the Central Civilization Office, the Ministry of Education, the Central Committee of the Communist Young League, the All-China Women's Federation, and the China Cares for the Next Generation Working Committee.

Born in 2007, Shao is a grade six student in Quzhou Experimental School. In his classmates' eyes, he is a good student with excellent character and learning and an enthusiastic pal always ready to help other students in learning.

Shao is also a creative kid with his brains full of various ideas, which has helped him carry off many awards at tech innovation competitions.

There are transformed household articles by Shao everywhere in his home, such as automatic ventilation fans and flower watering tools.

During the summer vacation in 2018, he transformed an out-of-service electric bicycle into a cool kart all by himself, which was covered by many local media.

Now, Shao is considering a ruffian capture net, hoping to catch bad guys with a mesh enclosure shot out by air force.

The elementary student is also warmhearted about the public interest and helps promote non-profit foundations among his classmates.
