Quzhou-made celadon items were on display in Beijing on May 13 after serving the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation from April 25 to 27.

All those items and the celadon tea sets, art porcelains and vases showcased at the various important occasions during the forum were made by Quzhou-based Longquan Banxiantang Culture Development Co.

According to Tang Wei, founder of the Quzhou company, it took them two years to prepare for the event with each celadon article requiring dozens of procedures.

In 2014 Tang led his team to Quzhou where he established a Quzhou Kiln Institute.

As early as late Shang Dynasty (c.16th century-11th century BC), Quzhou made out the primitive celadon items and the teacups produced in Quzhou kilns in Tang Dynasty (618-907) led ancient China.

Tang said that Quzhou's profound history of celadon making, convenient transportation and local government's support to outstanding cultural companies attracted him to locate his company in the city.

After five years of development, Quzhou Kiln Institute has become a role model for Quzhou cultural companies.
