The final of the 2018 China (Quzhou) Industrial Design Competition took place in Quzhou, Zhejiang province on Jan 20.

A total of 1,528 design works were submitted for the competition from its launch in early October, 40 of which advanced to the final.

These works were classified into two groups: products and conceptual design.

The designs were all based on Quzhou's key emerging and major traditional industries of upgrading and transformation, including equipment manufacturing, home supplies, cultural creativity and green food.

After fierce competition, Quzhou native Hu Shan won the product group with her composite furniture made of aluminum, wood, and quartz, and Cai Jiayi from Guangdong province claimed the first prize of the conceptual design group with rollable stretcher.
